Hotel Terms and Conditions

Reservation Status

Your reservation is currently held on a confirmed basis. If you wish to change or cancel the booking, please contact the hotel directly.  Please note that we cannot guarantee the quoted rate if any changes are made to your original request.

Check In Time

2:00 pm is our standard check-in time. Early check in is subject to availability and additional fees may apply. If you would like any earlier check in gaurenteed, we would recommend booking the night before you arrival so your room is available on your early arrival.

Check Out Time

For the convenience of the incoming guests, we require our rooms to be vacated by 10:00 am on the day of departure. Late departure is subject to availability and additional fees may apply.

Late Arrival

For guests arriving after 8:00 pm, please contact the hotel directly for late arrival information.

Cancellation Policy

When the booking is cancelled within 24 hours prior to arrival or a no show; first night’s accommodation will be charged unless the rate booked is non-refundable then the entire booking will incur 100% cancellation fee.

Full payment is required at time of check in.

Payment Policy

For all reservations, credit card details are required to confirm bookings, these are held on file. Payment for all accommodation must be made in full on the day of arrival, if not already done so. There is a $5.00 credit card hold per room per night required at time of check in to guarentee any incidentals while staying at the hotel.  The hold is released upon check out. For cash or EFTPOS, there is a deposit of $100.00 upon arrival, this will be refunded upon check out should there be no further charges during the stay.

For arrivals after 8:00 pm, please ensure the credit card provided with the booking has sufficient funds available for the Hotel to charge the full amount owing for accommodation as well as the $5.00 per night, per room hold.

Please note: the held amount held on your credit card is set aside by the credit card company and may affect the available funds on your credit card. The holds are released on day of departure, and the released of funds can take up to 3-5 working days to clear. In the event that your credit card declines for this hold, we are not able to guarantee your reservation.

Please note that a Credit Card Transaction Fee of 2.5% will apply to all credit card payments and a 4.0% Transaction fee will apply to payments by American Express. Alternatively, you may wish to pay by Cash or EFTPOS which will not incur a fee but using Paywave with a Debit card will as the payment will process on the "Credit" function of the card.

Incidentals

Any damage to the room or property may be charged to nominated credit card or method of payment for incidentals, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.

This hotel is a non-smoking facility and smoking is not permitted anywhere within the hotel. Any guest found smoking in their room will be charged a minimum of NZ$100.00, although depending on the strength of the odour and if the hotel is unable to resell the room, then additional charges may apply to cover any costs or loss of revenue incurred by the hotel.

The held amount on your credit card is set aside by the credit card company and may affect the available funds on your credit card. Pre-authorizations are released on day of departure, and the release of funds can take up to 14 working days to clear. In the event that your credit card declines, we are not able to guarantee your reservation. 

Car Parking

Please note that the hotel does not accept liability for loss, damage or theft of/to your vehicle when parked in our car park and that by parking your car you are doing so at your own risk. Full terms and conditions of parking are available on request.

Damage & Loss

The Hotel assumes no responsibility for any form of loss, including but not limited to occupant's injury, money or other valuables, or for articles left in rooms or vehicles. A safe is available for guest use for deposit of valuables at reception.

Personal Information (PI)

  • Information Required & Collection: We will only collect PI that is necessary for the purposes of data processing and may be collected in certain circumstances, without limitation, as follows;

     i.   Hospitality activities such as booking a hotel room, check in and check out at the hotel, room charges during the guests stay, and any claims or requests.

     ii.  Participation in marketing programs, with customers consent.

     iii. Provision of information by third party service providers such as tour operators, travel agencies, GDS reservations, online booking engines etc.

     iv. Internet activities such as filling in any online collection forms such as questionnaires etc

  • We do not knowingly collect PI form children under the age of 18 years, except name, age and nationality as provided directly by an adult on their behalf or without a relevant adult’s permission.

  • Confidentiality & Security: We will implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the customers PI against accidental or unlawful alteration or loss, or from unauthorised use, disclosure or access.

  • Storage: PI will be kept for the period for the purposes of the data processing and in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

 Social Media Promotion

  • Winner will be notified directly via Facebook / Instagram Direct Message

  • Winner will then be asked for an email address to send prize confirmation

  • Winner agrees that, by participating in the Garden Hotel & Restaurant Birthday Giveaway, management may use the winner’s name in any manner and in any medium for its promotional purposes without additional compensation, including posting in a the social media.

  • By entering Garden Hotel & Restaurant Birthday Giveaway, you agree that Garden Hotel & Restaurant and any entity involved in any aspect of the promotion will have no liability, and will be held harmless from and against liability, loss, injury or damage to property or person.

  • If you win a prize, you may not transfer, assign, or redeem the prize for cash

  • If you win a prize, you may not transfer or assign the prize for other people.

  • Management has the rights to amend Terms and Conditions without prior notice

  • Management reserves the right to withdraw or replace prize offers at any time

  • Not valid in conjunction with any other promotions
